How To Avoid Middle Aged Spred

The middle age spread usually begins showing (and seems to remain) as early as your thirties. It is an accumulation of fat around your stomach (for men) and stomach, hips and thighs for women. It usually affects women more following childbirth (hip bones spread as well as skin looses elasticity). This is an indication that you have been consuming well over what your body actually needs.

As we grow older we need far less fat proteins. At this time, it is a good idea to fast (go without solid food) at least once a week. You should check with your health care provider before attempting a fast of any kind. There are many different types of fasts out there and if your doctor leans more towards alternative medicine, he will most likely help you decide on a proper fast. I personally choose one day a month to consume only fruit juices and broths.

It is difficult for me to do a complete fast as I have children to take care of and fasting is a time to relax or lie down completely and especially if it lasts more than a day. Many health experts are against fasting and many are all for it. Again, I believe in moderation in everything; that is why I only do a once a month liquids-only fast.

Research and investigate as well as speak with people you know are familiar with this technique and choose what’s right for you. Remember, a healthy long life occurs when your body remains lean.

Fat body tissue is diseased tissue. The human heart has to beat faster and work harder when you have too much weight, especially around your middle. Being fifty or more pounds over weight after the age of forty- five shortens your life span by 50%!

If you are obese, the safest beginning workout you should try is some gentle yoga, along with a walk of at least ten minutes, at least three times a week.

Deep breathing, as will occur with Yoga, will help the body oxidize foods, resulting in quicker elimination of toxins and fresh newly oxidized blood flow can renew body tissue.

Just think of this process as rinsing out a dirty mop.

The reason most people over eat , apart from the emotional aspects , is they are not eating foods with proper nourishment and therefore the body wants to continually eat more and more; sort of searching for the exact foods it needs yet never able to find it.

Avoid these foods:

White bread
Pastries
Mashed potatoes with cream, butter or gravy
Cream puffs
Polished rice
Sugary cereals
Heavy whipping creams
White or refined sugars
Candy
Icecream
Rich desserts

Your body is made up of 16 elements: Carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and 12 others. In order to stay healthy and lean, these elements need to be replenished daily and can only be done by eating WHOLE FOODS.
